Location: Atlanta, GA

Senior Oracle SQL Analyst candidates located near the Atlanta GA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Oracle SQL development against transactional databases (5+ Years)
• Writing complex SQL (joins CTEs subqueries CASE aggregate and analytic functions) (5+ Years)
• Normalized relational database design and table relationships (5+ Years)
• SQL job scheduling and automated database processes (3+ Years)
• Translating business requirements into SQL solutions (3+ Years)
• Operational reporting and data analysis (3+ Years)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 
• Oracle PL/SQL (procedures functions packages views) (3+ Years)
• SQL troubleshooting query optimization and data validation (5+ Years)
• Tableau or other data visualization software
• Criminal justice or other large transactional database environments
Under limited supervision, the Senior Oracle SQL Data Analyst develops, maintains, and supports SQL solutions for operational reporting, research, executive decision-making, legislative reporting, and strategic initiatives. This position primarily works with large, normalized Oracle transactional databases and is responsible for extracting, validating, analysing, automating, and maintaining operational data. This is not a traditional Business Intelligence or Dashboard Development position. Approximately 70–80% of the work involves writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL directly against transactional databases. Candidates should have experience developing SQL from scratch rather than primarily working with data warehouses, semantic models, or pre-built Business Intelligence datasets. The candidate must be able to independently analyze business requirements, determine the appropriate database tables and relationships needed to answer complex business questions, and develop SQL solutions from scratch without relying on pre-built analytical tables, semantic models, visual query builders, or AI-generated SQL. This position is available for extensions. Candidate MUST come ON-SITE Day 1 for Orientation and Equipment Pick up. The Client does not ship equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop maintain and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs
• Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases
• Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables relationships joins and business rules needed to answer complex business questions
• Extract validate transform and analyze operational data for reporting research grants and executive requests
• Develop and maintain automated SQL processes scheduled database jobs and recurring data refreshes
• Troubleshoot SQL scripts automated jobs and data quality issues
• Create efficient reusable and well-documented SQL code
• Support recurring operational reports Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) legislative reporting and research initiatives
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings
• Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed
