Job description

Who We Are

Pattern Data is an AI-powered platform built for the complexities of mass tort litigation. We help leading law firms automate case analysis, accelerate settlement decisions, and manage high-volume inventories that were traditionally manual and time-intensive.

The problems we work on are complex and high-stakes, requiring precision, adaptability, and a deep understanding of both data and client needs.

We're a collaborative, high-ownership team that moves quickly and takes pride in solving hard problems well. People at Pattern go deep to understand the "why," build solutions that hold up, and stay focused on what drives real outcomes for our customers. We value transparency, thoughtful problem-solving, and authenticity in how we work together and we're looking for someone who's excited to contribute to a team that's actively building and improving every day.

What You'll Do

As a Data Solutions Analyst at Pattern Data, you will specialize in settlement support, becoming a trusted resource on the facets of each settlement program. You'll partner with clients and internal teams to solve data questions, build long term solutions, and validate outputs to ensure accuracy across every settlement you support. At Pattern, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Be available and responsive to client and internal requests across settlement programs
  • Become an expert on the eligibility criteria, claims data, and valuation methodology specific to each settlement to provide informed, accurate guidance and data solutions
  • Provide client and internal support on Pattern's API capabilities
  • Provide data support, translating client questions into clear, accurate answers using settlement data and platform tooling
  • Write and run simple scripts and queries (SQL, Python, or similar) to validate claimant data, calculations, and outputs
  • Perform quality checks and troubleshoot data discrepancies flagged by clients or internal teams
  • Document recurring questions and solutions to build institutional knowledge across the our settlement programs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with litigation management, engineering, and product teams to resolve settlement-specific data issues

What You'll Bring

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn the details of multiple settlement programs and translating them into data solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort managing multiple, sometimes competing priorities across concurrent projects
  • 1 or more years of experience working with SQL data sources, with comfort writing and debugging queries
  • Familiarity with Python or a similar scripting language for data validation and automation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a client-first mindset, with a willingness to serve as a flexible, on-call resource across programs
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tooling i.e. Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science/Analysis, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel or be available outside standard business hours as settlement deadlines require
  • Experience in the legal industry is a plus
