We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Collins Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure using latest technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and contribute to the evolution of our data platform and capabilities.

**This is a hybrid position in Puerto Rico**

What YOU will do:

  • Data Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting needs.

  • Snowflake: Utilize Snowflake to manage data warehousing, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization.

  • Matillion: Implement ETL processes using Matillion to integrate, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.

  • SQL: Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.

  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and architecture.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Experience in data engineering role, with proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a background in Snowflake, Matillion, Alteryx, and Tableau or relevant ETL and RDBMS technologies.

  • SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, joins, and aggregations.

  • Data Visualization: Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.

  • ETL Expertise: Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices, with hands-on experience using Matillion or relevant tools.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

  • Experience in agile methodologies and experience as a Data Engineer in a cross-functional agile team.
