The Gist…

This role supports data-informed decision-making through data collection, management, analysis, and visualization. Responsibilities include integrating, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources; developing dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc; and identifying trends, patterns, and performance insights that support mission and operational objectives.

The analyst will support data governance, data quality, and reporting processes while collaborating with stakeholders to improve data accessibility, transparency, and the effective use of data across the organization. The position focuses on data visualization, dashboard development, reporting, and business intelligence, applying basic analytical techniques to assess performance and support decision-making. Experience with Tableau and Power BI is required, while advanced statistical programming languages such as R and Python are not required.


  • Lead and perform data-driven studies, assessments, and research to inform decision-making, resource allocation, and operational improvement.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methods, statistical techniques, modeling, simulation, and risk, cost, and benefit analyses to address operational and technical challenges.
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize data to identify trends, relationships, performance drivers, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and apply predictive, mathematical, and optimization models to support planning, policy development, and management decision-making.
  • Design, tailor, and implement decision-support tools, analytics solutions, and process improvement approaches to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct trade-off, operational, and systems analyses to support requirements development, acquisitions, and lifecycle management.
  • Establish and evaluate performance metrics, key indicators, and analytical frameworks that account for operational, technical, cost, feasibility, and risk considerations.
  • Apply industry best practices, maturity models, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve performance and analytical rigor.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and executive-ready recommendations that communicate findings and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Support knowledge transfer and training activities to promote data-informed operations and continuous improvement.
