Your role and responsibilities
Senior Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, New York, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
  • Design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning models that drive enterprise decision making and business value.
  • Source, clean, and process complex datasets to support model development and implementation.
  • Develop and architect scalable data/model pipelines ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Apply statistical analysis, data visualization techniques, and Python programming to extract actionable insights.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including sourcing business requirements, their translation into data science tasks, as well as to report solution design and performance.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while making informed trade-offs between business needs and time-to-value.
  • Drive rigorous release management processes and uphold data science standards within the organization as well as maintain domain awareness, share expertise, and innovate, including IP responsibility.
  • Utilize IBM watsonx suite and related tools to implement AI solutions across the enterprise.
  • Utilize: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), IBM watsonx Suite, SQL, Data Pipeline Tools, Machine Learning Algorithms, Statistical Modeling, Data Visualization Tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Cognos), Git and Version Control Systems, Cloud Computing Platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer or related.
