They use design principles and data analysis skills to communicate insights effectively to various audiences. Their work helps organizations make informed decisions by presenting data in a clear and visually appealing manner. These designers often collaborate with data analysts, researchers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity in their visualizations.

How does a data visualization graphic designer typically collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders during a project?

A Data Visualization Graphic Designer frequently works alongside data analysts to interpret complex datasets and transform them into visually engaging, easily understandable graphics. Early in a project, designers meet with stakeholders to clarify objectives and gather requirements. Regular communication and collaboration are essential, as designers must balance aesthetics, clarity, and accuracy while supporting stakeholders’ goals.

Job description

7AI is building the Operating System for the SOC — an Agentic Security Platform where AI agents investigate and triage security alerts, so security teams get their time back for the work that needs a person. We're growing our in-house design team and looking for a Senior Visual Designer to join our team of designers and lead the visual side of the product. Our team is strong on UX — we know how the product should work.

This role is about how it looks, feels, and communicates: typography, color, layout, iconography, data visualization, and the visual system that ties it all together. You'll own that layer and raise the bar on craft across the team.

What You'll Do (Carolyn Rev) Own and evolve the visual language of 7AI's Agentic Security Platform with an eye for clean, legible interfaces on technical, data-heavy surfaces Think in systems: collaborate with the team to develop high fidelity patterns that act as building blocks across our platform, from dashboards to data-dense workflows Turn UX flows and low-fidelity concepts into polished, production-ready, and reusable components, and produce the assets and specs that support pixel-perfect implementation Partner closely with Product and Engineering to build interfaces with real visual fidelity Drive rigor and consistency across our design system — auditing, documenting, and pushing the team's contributions toward one visual standard Raise the bar on craft and attention to detail across the design team, and give feedback that helps the rest of the team grow their visual skills What We're Looking For 6+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, or product design with a strong visual focus A portfolio that shows real depth in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and data visualization — not just interaction design Experience designing for complex, data-rich products Experience building or leading contributions to a design system, with a visual focus High proficiency in Figma A sharp eye for detail — spacing, alignment, and polish matter to you Comfort giving direction and feedback to other designers on visual craft Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment Nice to Have Experience designing for security, infrastructure, or other technical B2B products Familiarity with AI-assisted design tooling as part of your regular workflow
