Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Data Visualization Developer to join a newly awarded Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management contract supporting a federal customer. This role involves designing and developing data-driven visualizations, dashboards, and web applications to support mission-critical analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver modular, scalable software applications to support customer analytics needs.

  • Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.

  • Transform data sets, both quantitative and qualitative, into compelling visuals that inform decision-making.

  • Provide visual, technical, and editorial guidance across cybersecurity teams.

  • Support web development, web engineering, and dashboard integration.

  • Work with large datasets, performing ETL (extract, transform, load) using languages like Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.

  • Design dashboard layouts, visual elements, and interactivity, including chart types, color palettes, and other design elements to ensure clarity and impact.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with SQL and PowerBI for dashboarding.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.

Desired:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.

Clearance:

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Location:

  • Hybrid-remote in Washington, DC, with expected 2-3 days on-site per week

Compensation:

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $95,000-$105,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
