This involves checking data for errors, inconsistencies, and completeness by comparing it to original sources or predefined standards. Data verification is important in maintaining the integrity of databases, minimizing errors in business processes, and ensuring reliable reporting and decision-making. Professionals in this role may use manual checks, automated tools, or both, depending on the complexity and volume of data.
