Role Overview
As a Senior Financial Data Analyst, you will transform financial and operational data into insights that support planning, performance management, and business decision-making. You will develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, data models, and automated analytics solutions that improve visibility into business performance and increase the efficiency of Finance processes. Working cross-functionally, you will translate complex business questions into data-driven analyses, identify trends and opportunities, and leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities that support business and financial decision-making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that provide clear visibility into financial and operational performance.
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs and translate them into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Build and maintain data models, reporting logic, business rules, and data definitions that support consistent and reliable financial analysis.
• Automate recurring reporting and analytical processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Finance.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality analysis to ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and consistent across systems.
• Develop ad hoc analyses, forecasts, and scenario-based insights to support financial planning, performance reviews, and business decisions.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for leadership and business stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve Finance data, reporting processes, tools, and workflows.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to accelerate analysis, improve reporting efficiency, identify trends, and enhance financial insights.
• Evaluate emerging AI, analytics, and automation capabilities and identify practical opportunities to apply them within Finance.
• Maintain documentation for key reports, metrics, data definitions, business rules, and analytical processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, financial analytics, business intelligence, FP&A analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience analyzing complex financial and operational data and translating findings into actionable business insights.
• Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, and automated analytics using business intelligence and data visualization tools.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SQL and data visualization or business intelligence tools.
• Experience working with financial and operational data with an understanding of key financial metrics and business performance drivers.
• Experience with data modeling, data definitions, business rules, data validation, and reporting governance.
• Demonstrated ability to improve reporting and analytical processes through automation and process improvement.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, automation, or emerging technologies used to improve reporting, forecasting, and decision support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently work through complex data and business questions.
• Strong communication and data storytelling skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to business stakeholders.
