The Treasury Chief Administrative Office/Transformation Office drives the transformation agenda for Finance Treasury, within which, this position works in a newly formed Citi Treasury Data Transformation reporting to the Treasury Data Transformation Head.
This leadership role will help define and own significant delivery of strategic Data Book of Work, and will drive the Treasury data change agenda, working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders throughout the organization. There will be a high degree of interaction at a senior level within Treasury, Finance functions, business partners in Institutional Client Group (ICG) and Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PB&WM), Chief Data Office and EIO&T to drive strategic decisions for data transformation.
The role manages and coordinates the activities in a matrixed structure to achieve strategic firmwide goals. The successful candidate will have in-depth understanding of how accurate data, solid controls and accountability throughout the bank contribute to achieving Treasury objectives. In addition, a thorough understanding of Treasury functions, services and capabilities is necessary to contribute to a best-in-class data solutions. It requires excellent technical and communication skills to negotiate at a senior level.
The role will be responsible for defining and executing on Treasury Data Transformation Consent Order and strategic data initiatives in line with Citi's Finance Data Operating Model. Responsibilities will include establishing data operating model for Citi Data Governance Policy adoption, which will implement a well governed and controlled data operating environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and run Data Management for Consent Order and Strategic initiatives.
  • Ownership of CDO policy adoption and regulatory milestones which mandate Treasury to manage and govern data in a controlled manner.
  • Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the data management process.
  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications.
  • Implements financial initiatives and manages the work of the department ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for their area.
  • Partners with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and / or control.
  • Often requires development of new concepts and approaches to solving issues affecting business/ geographic region or a major segment of it.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required.
  • In depth knowledge of banking products/systems and how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function.
  • Specific knowledge of Treasury disciplines; Balance Sheet Management, Interest Rate in Banking Book (IRRBB), Risk Weighted Asset (RWA), Liquidity or Forecasting an advantage.
  • Outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing large scale change programs within Financial Services, across multiple functions.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.
  • Extensive knowledge of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial goals of the business.
  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
  • Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
  • Frequently involved with a variety of broad based and complex issues requiring conceptual thinking.
