Job description

Strategy Intern โ€“ Data and Analytics

Job Summary:

The intern will be responsible for creating a dashboard to comprehensively track the success of all markets and centers across various dimensions of performance. This report would allow AWHโ€™s strategy team to quickly identify areas of opportunity across the enterprise and begin to take immediate action to address them. This report will drill into the primary drivers of financial performance and provide critical information as to why certain markets or centers may be underperforming. The intern will work directly alongside other members of AWHโ€™s strategy team to do this work.

This experience is designed to help the intern develop their analytic skills by giving them an opportunity to directly link data from various sources to financial performance and design some of the infrastructure required for an organization such as AWH to act on insights gleaned from data.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a PowerBI report which would compare the performance of AWH markets and centers to each other on multiple critical dimensions of financial performance
  • Write the SQL queries required to build the data view needed to build this report
  • Development of key metrics which may be lacking in pre-existing views of our data and performance

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to understand a P&L and factors that drive it
  • Translating financial drivers into quantifiable and actionable metrics for reporting purposes
  • Visualizing data in a way that allows end users to quickly and accurately draw insights from data

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Has experience analyzing data and using it to make recommendations to business stakeholders
