Our AI and Data practice sits at the intersection of deep industry knowledge and applied AI and data engineering. We help the world's leading Resources and Utilities organizations reinvent how they run - designing the data foundations, AI platforms, and governance models that turn data into trusted, production-grade intelligence. We are not looking for generalists who advise on AI in the abstract. We need practitioners who understand how enterprises actually operate, where the friction lives, and how to engineer smarter solutions using AI and data to fundamentally transform business processes and outcomes.

You Are:

You are a Data Strategy & Governance Consultant who executes the design and operationalization of enterprise data governance frameworks. You thrive on the hands-on work of building stewardship processes, authoring data policies, and configuring governance tooling so that data is trusted, well-managed, and ready for analytics and AI. You partner closely with business and technology stakeholders and turn governance concepts into working reality.

The Work:

  • Execute data governance design - support the design and operationalization of governance frameworks covering data ownership, stewardship, data quality standards, metadata management, and policy enforcement.

  • Operationalize governance models - work with business and technology stakeholders to turn data strategy into actionable governance operating models that enable trusted data for analytics and AI.

  • Support governance structures - help establish governance councils, define data classification and access policies, and document standards and processes.

  • Configure governance tooling - implement and drive adoption of cataloging, lineage, and data quality tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview).

  • Support compliance alignment - ensure governance work aligns with regulatory and privacy requirements and contributes to master data management efforts.

Travel may be required for this role, varying from 0 to 80% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's What You Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a data strategy role

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operationalizing data governance frameworks (stewardship, ownership, data quality, metadata management)

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with data cataloging or lineage tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within or supporting regulatory and privacy compliance requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience serving utilities clients (electric, gas, or water) or in a utilities finance, controllership, or regulatory function.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

Bonus Points If

  • You have a Master's degree in a relevant field

  • You have exposure to master data management and stakeholder management

  • You have relevant data governance or data platform certifications
