Role: Storage Admin

Location: Houston, TX 77073

Duration: 24 months

Must Have Skills

          8-10 Yrs of experience as Storage Administrator

          Certifications or specialized skills/training in one of the storage technology (Dell/EMC, NetApp).

          Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel.

          Experience in troubleshooting complex computing platforms, storage systems including SAN and NAS arrays, and/or innovative technologies involving virtualization, and high availability.

          Strong commitment to customer service

          Help desk ticketing system experience.

          Strong expertise in NAS and SAN based storage systems.

          Strong experience with Cisco, Brocade SAN multilayer director class switches.

          Experience with installation, problem detection, resolution and maintenance on the following hardware: Dell Servers, Cisco UCS Servers

o   Hands-on experience with Cisco's Unified Computing Systems, B/C Series

o   UCS Central

o   Fabric Interconnects

o   UCS Operational Validation & Troubleshooting

o   Capacity management and system tuning

Detailed Job Description

          Responsible for daily administration & troubleshooting of heterogeneous SAN/NAS environment Dell/EMC, NetApp Storage Arrays including VNX, Isilon, and NetApp FAS (Cluster/7Mode), which hosts storage for Hypervisors, Linux and Windows, based hosts.

          Ability to create SMB shares and NFS Exports on EMC Isilon & NetApp filer. In addition, troubleshoot Filer Performance Issues.

          Provision storage/aggregate, Volume/LUN as provided in the service request.

          Configure & troubleshoot the SAN-bootable LUN corresponding to VMware ESXi & Hyper-V hosts.

          Troubleshooting and debugging of the storage environment with respect to DC IT infrastructure and compute platform

          Provide health and performance report and take appropriate actions based on trends in data.

          Responsible for storage zoning, configuration and management of Brocade & Cisco SAN switches.

          Perform storage capacity analysis and planning

          Identify, monitor, build and utilization report on the storage infrastructure using Storage Management Tools.
