Job Description
Role:
Backup Enterprise Engineering role includes participating in the design, configuration, development, integration, testing, implementation, documentation and support of Backup infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
Design disaster recovery plans and enforce backup and archival procedures.
Design and implement solutions for data storage and maintenance.
Upgrade software, apply patches, and ensure physical security of data.
Work with business and application development teams to extract requirements and propose appropriate storage and backup solutions and standards.
Manage offshore technical storage and backups teams to ensure smooth operations.
Manage DR data replication to ensure data recoverability
Good knowledge and understanding of Backup and Recovery Best Practices in relation to EMC Networker,
Good knowledge and understanding Security Compliance including data privacy practices and laws
Good technical knowledge of Virtualization Technologies
Experience in Azure is added advantage.
