Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer - AI & Data Solutions to design and develop AI-enabled applications that transform structured and unstructured data into meaningful business insights. This role is responsible for building intelligent data solutions, integrating APIs and databases, leveraging modern AI frameworks, and supporting enterprise search platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with AI software engineering, vector databases, large language model (LLM) applications, and cloud-based technologies, with the ability to independently deliver innovative AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop applications that organize, classify, and transform structured and unstructured data into actionable business insights.
• Build AI-enabled tools and applications that support intelligent search, data analysis, and knowledge discovery.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and data services to support enterprise business initiatives.
• Leverage modern AI frameworks, libraries, and development tools to rapidly prototype and deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-powered search capabilities.
• Support, administer, and optimize OpenSearch or Elasticsearch environments, including access management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Design and implement solutions utilizing vector databases and semantic search technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Support operational, business intelligence, and risk management initiatives through data-driven software solutions.
• Participate in software design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support activities.
• Troubleshoot application, API, and data integration issues while optimizing system performance and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, AI Software Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of API design, development, and integration.
• Experience working with relational, NoSQL, or vector databases.
• Experience utilizing AI tools and technologies to improve software development productivity and solution delivery.
• Experience with AI application frameworks such as LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, Haystack, or similar technologies.
• Experience building applications that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar enterprise search platforms.
• Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or AI-powered search solutions.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts for structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver technical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite five days per week in Juno Beach, Florida.
• Willingness to convert to a full-time position following the contract period.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience designing and implementing vector database solutions for semantic search and AI applications.
• Experience working with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with modern AI development workflows and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience supporting AI-powered data platforms, enterprise search solutions, or intelligent automation initiatives.
• Experience developing scalable cloud-based AI and data solutions.
