Customer Solutions Intern Location: Plano, TX Duration: 12 weeks Start Date: May 25, 2027 About the Opportunity: Ericsson is seeking a Customer Solutions Intern to join the CTO organization supporting CU Hyperscalers and Regional Carriers. This is an exciting opportunity for a Bachelor, Master's or PhD student who wants to work at the intersection of next-generation mobile networks, AI and Physical AI, cloud technologies, automation, and business strategy.

You'll develop hands-on experience supporting technology leaders, exploring emerging innovations, and helping shape the future of connectivity and digital transformation. Our purpose is to create connections that make the unimaginable possible. Every day, we use creativity, expertise, and technology to solve some of the world's greatest challenges and elevate opportunities that once seemed impossible.

What You Will Do: Support enablement of emerging technologies, including 5G/6G, AI, cloud-native platforms, automation, and network[SS1.1] evolution. Assist with technology strategy initiatives, customer-focused innovation projects, and practical insights that inform roadmap discussions. Help evaluate industry trends and prepare clear summaries, recommendations, and presentations for technical and business stakeholders

Collaborate with CTO team members on network transformation, innovation, automation, standardization, regulatory perspectives and technology planning activities. Use AI-enabled tools to analyze information, identify trends, summarize findings, and improve productivity across technical projects. Gain exposure to customer engagement, technology leadership, and how strategic technology decisions shape business outcomes.

What You Will Bring: Currently enrolled as a Bachelors, Master's, or PhD student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical field. Strong interest in telecommunications, wireless networks, cloud technologies, AI, automation, and emerging technology trends. Analytical mindset with the ability to research complex topics and translate technical concepts into clear, practical insights.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Experience with data analysis, scripting, programming, AI tools, network technologies, or technology research is a plus. Foundational understanding of IP networking concepts, including IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, Ethernet, subnetting, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with switching and routing principles, network architectures, and routing protocols is a plus. Exposure to optical and transport networking, fiber-optic communications, DWDM, OTN, or optical network design and operations is a plus. Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent networking certification is appreciated but not required; relevant coursework or hands-on experience is also valued.
