This position requires expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, data science methodologies, and AI-enabled technologies to support Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) operations, capability development, operational assessments, acquisition decisions, and strategic planning efforts. The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, automation, and data fusion techniques to identify operational trends, forecast outcomes, optimize mission performance, and develop innovative analytical solutions supporting senior military and civilian leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and AI-enabled analytical solutions supporting operational decision-making.
  • Utilize Maven Smart System (MSS), Palantir, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled analytical platforms to develop predictive models and mission decision-support capabilities.
  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured operational, intelligence, and enterprise data to identify trends, anomalies, correlations, and predictive indicators.
  • Design and develop predictive analytics, forecasting models, classification algorithms, and optimization techniques to support operational planning and resource allocation.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science methodologies to automate information extraction, target identification, threat analysis, and operational assessments.
  • Develop dashboards, analytical visualizations, predictive data products, and executive decision-support tools that effectively communicate complex analytical findings.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model validation, and performance optimization to improve analytical accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, software developers, operators, intelligence analysts, and mission stakeholders to develop integrated analytical solutions supporting mission objectives.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and quantitative models to evaluate system performance, operational effectiveness, capability gaps, technology maturity, and acquisition priorities.
  • Support operational experimentation, technology demonstrations, capability evaluations, and acquisition efforts through advanced modeling and data-driven analysis.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, and advanced analytical methodologies to improve mission performance.
  • Produce technical documentation, model documentation, analytical reports, executive briefings, and recommendations supporting senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Ensure analytical models comply with applicable security, governance, validation, and data integrity requirements.
