Job description

Summary
Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement. We are a fast growing production geared shop. Our aim is to meet the insurance demands for the safest most efficient repair on the vehicle in under the allowed time. Our customer is our top priority and their satisfaction is what we strive for. If you are not happy with your current position come see us. We expect a lot out of you but the pay makes up for it. Come join the team and make some money.
Essential Duties
  • Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical or interior damage.
  • Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
  • Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
  • Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
  • Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
  • Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
  • Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
  • Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Marginal Duties
Must be familiar with insurance DRP processes and be fluent in entering them in the proper computer systems. This is a strong qualifier for the position. If you do not have extensive DRP knowledge, this job is not for you.

Education and/or Experience
