Position Title: Elementary Classroom Teacher
Location: Kosciusko Upper Elem
Reports To: Principal
Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Contract
Salary: Based on district salary scale and experience



Position Overview:

Kosciusko Upper Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive learning environment where all students feel encouraged and challenged to reach their full potential. This teacher will be responsible for delivering instruction aligned with state standards, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and families to ensure student success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies that align with Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, ELLs, and gifted students.
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and inform instruction.
  • Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance data.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams and participate in professional learning communities to enhance teaching practices and school improvement.
  • Integrate technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
