Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Scientist II to support Private Wealth Management, focused on High-Net-Worth Strategy and Specialized Services (Private Trust, Wealth Insurance and Wealth Advisory Services).

This hands-on role partners with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytics solutions, actionable insights, measurable improvements and apply innovative analytical techniques to support the PWM strategy.

Ideal candidate:

  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships and translates needs into clear analytical requirements.
  • Independently manages analyses, reporting deliverables and timelines.
  • Applies analytics, AI and automation to improve insights, efficiency and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business partnership: Clarify requests, define analytical requirements and recommend practical approaches.
  • Reporting and insights: Develop dashboards and analyses, identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Data quality: Integrate, transform and validate data; investigate issues and ensure outputs are fit for purpose.
  • AI and automation: Automate recurring work and apply responsible, advanced analytics techniques.
  • Collaboration and governance: Create reusable solutions, share knowledge and maintain required documentation and controls.
Experience and Education
  • Degree, technical certificate or equivalent experience in analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, business or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and large, complex datasets
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data preparation and business-focused insights
  • Ability to build decision-oriented dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Spark or similar cloud data platforms
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience in financial services or Wealth Management is considered an asset
