Employment Status: Temporary Seasonal Internship
Position Summary
The Summer Intern participates in Mountain Valley Bank's structured Summer Internship Program, designed to provide students with meaningful career exploration and professional development opportunities within the banking industry.
Interns gain practical workplace experience by assisting with administrative, operational, technology, facilities, and special project assignments while learning about community banking, professional office environments, and business operations. Assignments are intended to provide educational value while supporting the Bank's operations and are designed to supplement—not replace—the work of regular employees.
Interns may rotate among multiple departments throughout the internship based on business needs and available learning opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Administrative Support
  • Scan, file, organize, and archive documents.
  • Prepare files and materials for electronic storage.
  • Assist with data entry and record maintenance.
  • Assemble packets, training materials, and informational documents.
  • Organize office supplies and work areas.
Operations Support
  • Assist with operational improvement projects.
  • Organize storage areas and records.
  • Inventory equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with records retention and document management projects.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks for various departments.
Technology Support
  • Inventory computers, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
  • Label and organize technology assets.
  • Assist with basic workstation setup under supervision.
  • Organize technology storage areas.
Facilities Support
  • Assist with office organization projects.
  • Prepare conference and training rooms.
  • Assist with light facilities improvement projects.
  • Help maintain organized storage and work areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Requirements
The employee must regularly:

Work Environment
