Joint Medcare Rehab and Wellness Center in Centreville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient team. This role is primarily onsite, ensuring that you are closely engaged with patients in a hands-on clinical setting. • Provide personalized evaluations and develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient assessments and needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patient goals and physical limitations, creating roadmaps for recovery.
• Utilize advanced orthopedic techniques and modalities in therapy sessions, drawing upon your extensive knowledge of manual therapy and exercise science.
• Employ cost-effective, non-surgical treatment options to enhance patient mobility while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Design and implement structured fitness and wellness programs that target specific patient requirements, adapting as necessary to meet progress milestones.
• Motivate and guide patients through their recovery, helping them reach their therapeutic goals which may include improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting treatment outcomes in accordance with clinic protocols using EMR systems such as Web PT.
• Engage actively in team discussions to share insights, improvement strategies, and collaborate on patient care plans.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy methodologies, ensuring clinical practices are grounded in the latest research.

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain issues, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will empower individuals to regain functionality, allowing them to return to their normal activities with confidence.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with preference given to candidates with advanced certifications or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Must possess a valid and active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of disciplinary action.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate patient documentation and data management.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in sports rehabilitation or working with high-performance athletes is a plus.
• Strong background in developing and executing successful patient-centered exercise programs that yield measurable progress.
