We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Product Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights through Power BI, building and managing data product roadmaps, gathering requirements, and fostering collaboration across teams. This role is responsible for transforming complex health plan and clinical data into actionable insights that drive organizational decision-making, performance improvement, and innovation in population health.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead client and stakeholder data implementation projects, ensuring successful data integration and analytics delivery.
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, including the COO, CMO, Chief Nursing, and clinical leadership, ensuring data-driven alignment with organizational goals.
  • Mentor data analysts and data product developers, elevating the team from ad hoc analysis to scalable, systematic analytical operations.

Analytics & Insights Development

  • Apply advanced analytics to identify performance trends, cost drivers, and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and data stories that inform strategy and drive decisions across departments.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI preferred) that make insights accessible and actionable for clinicians, executives, and business users.
  • Support ad hoc, time-sensitive analysis requests, maintaining analytical rigor while meeting business needs.

Data Product Ownership

  • Define and prioritize the data product roadmap, aligning analytics solutions with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data products, features, and improvements.
  • Monitor adoption and measure the impact of data products, continuously optimizing usability, speed, and strategic value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with clinical, actuarial, and business teams to integrate analytics into VBC workflows, improving cost, quality, and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years in healthcare data analytics, including experience with health plan claims, clinical, and EMR data.
  • Proven experience leading analytics or data product initiatives within healthcare organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Power BI
  • Experience with Databricks, Python, or R for analytics strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills, able to simplify complex analytics for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration between analytics, clinical, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and strategic decision-making abilities.


Base Salary $140,000 - $155,000 with annual bonus. Compensation for the role is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
