Position Summary:

Data Scientist Manager, Precision eControl, LLC, Cincinnati, OH. Leads the analysis of client marketplace and brand data, applying a full range of tools - including SQL, R, Python, Power BI, and proprietary platforms to drive insights, automation, and measurable value. This hands-on role emphasizes technical execution while providing strategic input and collaboration across teams of analysts, data scientists, and other cross-functional partners. The Data Science Manager champions data-driven decision-making across client engagements and internal initiatives, ensuring analytical excellence and business impact. Employee may work from any location in the U.S., subject to company remote work policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the development and adoption of best practices for integrating data science across the eControl platform and processes
  • Mentors a high-performing data science and analytics team that is collaborative, results-driven, and focuses on developing strategic solutions to advance client business outcomes.
  • Partners closely with legal teams to understand eControl methodologies and uncover opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and automation.
  • Drives thought leadership through research initiatives that contribute to business growth and competitive advantage.
  • Designs and implements scalable data science frameworks that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Collaborates with engineering and architecture leadership to ensure alignment and integration of data and technology strategies.
  • Leads complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and measurable impact.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • 4 years of experience in predictive analytics, advanced statistical modeling, and related methodologies
  • 4 years of experience in SQL, R, Python, or other statistical software for developing client-facing analytical solutions
  • 3 years of hands-on experience applying AI and Machine Learning techniques to solve business problems
  • 3 years of experience with Big Data concepts, tools, and architecture (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes)
  • 3 years of experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, and building customer-facing UIs) to communicate key insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • 3 years of experience with the e-commerce ecosystem, including key marketplaces and platform dynamics

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related STEM discipline
  • 4 years of relevant professional experience required

The expected pay scale for this position is $108,430-$158,430/year.
