Job Description Summary:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Data Science & Analytics Managers to join the Supply Chain Functional Excellence organization in Everett, WA or Auburn, WA.

As the Data Science & Analytics Manager, you will join the AI, Reporting, & Automation organization, with a specific focus on AI & Automation or Reporting & Analytics. With sound business acumen and a foundational understanding of supply chain, you will lead a high-performing team of data analysts, scientists, and programmers to deploy supply chain solutions. You will translate ambiguous business needs into structured frameworks, and oversee the execution of data projects, and champion a data-first culture across the organization. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to drive supply chain stability and enable Boeing to deliver safer, better, and more efficient airplanes and products.

You will bridge the gap between complex data infrastructure, statistical modeling, and business strategy. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable data solutions, uncover actionable insights, and measure business performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing data science and analytics.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides vision, oversight, and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functionalproject/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and delivering presentations to executive leadership with strong proficiency.

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).

  • Strong communication skills with a proven track record of translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of experience leading teams in data analytics or data science, with at least 1-2 years in a management or team-lead role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed computing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

  • Experience building and deploying machine learning and AI models in a production environment.

  • Specific domain knowledge relevant to the aerospace industry and supply chain

  • Strong critical thinking, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
