Overview

Earth Scientist – Full Time at Chevron.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct exploration and development assignments across the energy system.
  • Perform reservoir characterization and well operations analysis.
  • Apply geoscience, geophysics, and petrophysics skills to support operations.
  • Utilize cutting‑edge digital technologies and data science techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of geologists, engineers, and data scientists.
  • Possibly take on managerial or technical leadership roles after gaining experience.
What You Must Have

Required qualifications include:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in geology, geophysics, geological engineering, or related field, with less than 2 years post‑degree experience.
  • Strong academic performance, communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to drive on a routine basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an integrated oil company internship or with subsurface characterization workflows.
  • Participation in energy industry or sponsored university research projects.
  • Experience with geoscience coding, data science, or machine learning.
