Job description

Departmental Overview

Compensation

  • $42 flat rate PRN III - 12 shifts in a 6 week schedule.  
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr.
  • Night differential $3.00/hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

The Rehabilitation Center at Norman Regional Health System is a comprehensive inpatient rehab unit with 21 beds. Our team is an interdisciplinary group of highly-trained professionals that utilize clinical reasoning and state of the art equipment to address our patients’ needs. Our staff operates with compassion and empathy to provide top-level service to our patient population. Our main goal is to restore mobility, function, and independence after debility due to injury, surgery, or illness.


Job Summary
  • Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy
  • Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
  • Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
