Job Title: Data Scientist - Mid Job Category: Science Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Anticipated Posting End: 12/31/2026 The Opportunity: Apply data science and analytics to real mission problems for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Join a collaborative team turning large, complex geospatial datasets into insights analysts can act on. Work with modern Python-based tooling in an Agile, mission-focused delivery environment.

Grow your skills alongside senior data scientists, engineers, and mission stakeholders. Responsibilities: Develop analytic models and data processing workflows against structured and unstructured datasets. Clean, filter, transform, and enrich data to support exploratory and production analytics.

Build visualizations and dashboards for exploratory and comparative analysis. Support integration of analytic capabilities into program systems alongside development teams. Collaborate with analysts and Product Owners to refine analytic requirements into working solutions.

Document methodologies, assumptions, and model behavior. Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver within sprint and PI commitments. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).

4+ years of data science or analytics experience. Proficiency in Python (or R) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Experience applying statistical analysis, classification, regression, or clustering techniques.

Experience with data visualization tools (matplotlib, Tableau, or similar). Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination. Desired: Exposure to geospatial data and tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoPandas).
