Job Description

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of systems that utilize data-oriented programming languages and visualization software to explore, analyze, and interpret data in various forms.
  • Compiles data from multiple sources by utilizing data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning techniques.
  • Designs basic data solutions that meet client requirements and organizational quality standards by leveraging industry-leading tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Applies functional data science and machine learning knowledge to help improve patient care capabilities, optimize healthcare operations, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Develops basic analytical frameworks, key metrics, and performance dashboards to monitor, measure, and evaluate healthcare quality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Confers with internal stakeholders, including Information Technology (IT) professionals and business analysts, to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Assists in preparing reports that outline data analytics results and solutions for existing and prospective constituents.
  • Conducts research on innovative data analysis techniques, visualization tools and software, and object-oriented programming languages to develop individual knowledge and professional capabilities.
  • Ensures departmental adherence to all applicable data governance policies and procedures by educating team members on data science best practices.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$74,160.00 - $148,320.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
