Job description

Our Company

Steele Rubber Products is an industry leader in manufacturing high quality rubber parts and sealing solution for the automotive, RV, and marine aftermarket audience. With a history of over 65 years, we take pride in our reputation for delivering top-notch products and extraordinary customer care.

Role Summary

As a Production Associate - Level 1, you’ll support steady, safe production of molded rubber parts and accurate order fulfillment for customers. This role exists to keep presses running efficiently, maintain quality standards, and ensure production data is recorded correctly.
Key responsibilities include following job sheets to stage molds/materials, loading rubber into mold cavities, changing molds in presses, applying pressure with an electric hydraulic pump, removing cured parts, completing documented QC checks, and scanning in/out of jobs in the Shop Floor Data System. You’ll also keep your area clean, report process or equipment irregularities, and assist with trials or cross-training as assigned.
Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma/GED; 1–3 months related experience or equivalent
- Read procedures/safety rules; complete routine production forms
- Basic math (fractions/decimals/percentages) and simple measurement
- Use basic hand tools; lift 50 lbs frequently (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
Pay: $17/hr. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm (onsite, Denver, NC). Apply today to be considered.

Daily Workflow

Your day starts by reviewing the production plan, verifying the job sheet and current part drawing, and confirming you have the right PPE and materials staged. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep several presses moving by staying ahead of cycle timing, tracking scans/counts as work is completed, and documenting scheduled quality checks. When something looks off—material, tooling, or equipment—you’ll escalate it promptly so production stays on track. Work assignments may rotate based on demand. You’ll wrap up by returning unused material, organizing the station, and leaving a clean, ready-to-run area for the next day.

Total Rewards

Comprehensive coverage and time off: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with matching, HSA, FSA, cafeteria plan options, plus Paid Time Off (PTO).

Any offer is contingent on passing a 7-year background check and pre-employment drug-screen.
