Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring a Senior BI Data Researcher for a direct-hire client in the education and research sector. This is a full-time, 100% remote position with a base salary of $140,000 to $160,000 per year. The role focuses on advanced research and engineering across the modern data landscape, including big data management, self-service data cleaning and transformation at scale, data quality, search and discovery of structured data, information extraction, time-series and heterogeneous data analytics, metadata management, applied AI, machine learning and data mining, data visualization, and natural language processing. The work also spans big data systems concerns such as resource management, storage, caching, query processing, query optimization, security, and privacy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investigate heterogeneous data management techniques and polystore systems, including the application of AI and machine learning techniques to foundational data management problems such as data quality, data profiling, data integration, and schema matching.
  2. Develop tools and frameworks that enable scalable development of machine learning models and data science algorithms across data domains, including tabular, time series, text, audio, and video.
  3. Create distributed data processing architectures that leverage compute at the edge to enable novel use cases and applications such as predictive routing, data-driven experiences, and adaptive environments.
  4. Collaborate with peer research teams to identify and pursue data-related opportunities in adjacent domains, including applied AI and machine learning in audio and video.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  2. Strong background in relational databases, big data systems, and data analytic systems.
  3. Expertise in data management, data cleaning, distributed systems, database storage engines, query processing, query optimization, and applied data science.
  4. Hands-on experience developing machine learning models and data science algorithms across diverse data types, including tabular, time series, text, audio, and video.
  5. Working knowledge of Git and project management tools such as JIRA.
