SUMMARY:Under the generalsupervision of the Principal Investigator(s) and Clinical Research Coordinator,assist in acquisition and analysis of patient information for multiple clinicalresearch projects. Interviews patientsto gather information, prepares and maintains study record, enters data viacomputer, performs statistical analyses of resultant data. Participates in qualitative/quantitativeanalyses of resultant data. Reviewsrelevant literature to gather information; may participate in development ofresearch protocols. May perform EKG'sand take vital signs during research-based monitoring tests. Participates in quantitative and qualitativeanalyses of resultant information.Mayassist in planning research protocols.Coordinatesactivities of others assigned to research project to interview patients,compete forms or perform other tasks.Reviewsliterature pertaining to research being conducted in order to better understandproject and gather relevant information.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor's Degree inApplied or Life Sciences or related area, including courses in researchmethodologies and microcomputer systems.EXPERIENCE:;Three to six monthson-the-job experience to become familiar with specific research studies.Knowledge of theory andtechniques of research methodology.Organizational skills toorganize and prioritize own efforts on multiple projects and to gather researchinformation, format appropriately for computer data entry, prepare and maintainrecords and reports, etc.Interpersonal skills toeffectively interact with patients, families and Hospital professional togather and exchange information.Analytical skills toparticipate in developing research protocols, perform statistical analyses andparticipate in qualitative/quantitative analyses of research data.Technical ability tooperate and maintain computer system. ;Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary toprovide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human developmentstages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process. color:red
