Job description

Position Overview

The Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for meeting the data reporting needs of the Operations team to enable continuous improvement in quality, automation, and efficiency. This role uses data to provide actionable insights into operational performance. The complexity of assigned projects, autonomy, and strategic scope will be calibrated to match the selected candidate's depth of experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Visualization & Storytelling
  • Determine appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant information, and data sets.
  • Create operations-focused data views and interactive dashboards using Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, and various visualization applications.
  • Design, build, and present dynamic dashboards that tell a compelling, data-driven story, translating complex operational metrics into clear, high-impact narratives.
  • Present analytical findings and insights executively, professionally, and accurately to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build out analytics ranging from core performance trackers to complex visualizations involving advanced nested calculations and multi-source relational database combinations.
  • Validate, maintain, and audit operations dashboards to ensure complete data integrity.
Cross-Functional & Systems Integration
  • Integrate data from ADP, Smarteeva, and other internal sources to drive business decision-making, handling manual data correction or inputs as needed.
  • Partner with the Technology team to conduct deep dives into automation data, driving process and product improvements.
  • Support Process Engineering by generating dashboards to identify bottlenecks, validate new updates, and monitor process changes.
  • Support the VP, Operations, Team Leads, and Training teams by establishing data-driven metrics to drive efficiency and quality gains.
Insight & Process Optimization
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in operational data sets.
  • Work alongside the Operations Management Team to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Provide insights, data-driven recommendations, and peer coaching/mentorship to other members of the Operations team to upskill internal data literacy.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience working in Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, and various visualization applications to report on operations.
  • Executive Presentation: Exceptional capability to build and present dashboards that translate raw data into a professional, accurate, and structured story tailored for executive leadership.
  • Analytical Rigor: Sharp problem-solving skills with the ability to assign numerical value to essential business functions for historical performance comparison.
  • Project Execution: Ability to manage analytical projects across their lifecycle-from initial planning through output visualization and ongoing maintenance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal customers to gain consensus on insights and recommendations.
  • Agility & Quality: Highly organized, deadline-focused, and agile, with a strong regard for product quality and safety standards.
Educational Requirements & Work Experience
  • Education:S. or M.S. (preferably in a scientific, technical, or quantitative field).
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4+ years of experience in data analytics or related technical fields (final title and project complexity tailored to the candidate's background).

A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $108,000-$141,000 (For the San Francisco Bay Area candidates) or $89,000-$116,000 (for the Austin candidates) and bonus.
