Job description

Subscribing to a philosophy of โ€œActive Data Governanceโ€, members of Damanโ€™s Information Governance practice focus on activities that operationalize principles and automate tasks that contribute to managing the integrity and use of our clientโ€™s data assets. With a focus on data quality for information used for analytics, this role will focus on (1) error detection and correction, (2) process control and improvement, and finally (3) process design.

Responsibilities

  • Define a DQ management framework and solution using IBMโ€™s Quality Stage technology, Informatica IDQ, or other data quality management tools.
  • Devises methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available data sources.
  • Defines strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality.
  • Works with data quality partners and Technology teams to identify and implement data quality tools. Identify critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements.
  • Assists in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program.
  • Build data quality assessments and measurement of critical data utilized and processes supporting the client expectation.
  • Accountable for understanding and documenting systems, data flows and data quality rules-driven from the profiling and assessments of critical data.
  • Designs/analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements.
  • Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.
  • Mentors junior analysts.
  • Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data quality standards, policies, processes, and procedures with a demonstrated experience remediating data quality issues with hands-on experience in performing data quality checks on large volumes of data stored in relational databases.
  • Experience with defining and implementing data quality programs for large enterprises.
  • Demonstration of strong capability using IBM Infosphere Quality Stage, Informatica IDQ, or other data quality management tools to deploy data quality management frameworks and solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to the management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Information Systems or Engineering is required.
