Job description

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider - encompassing physical, mental and financial health - TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

Join our Quality Assurance Team as an analyst where you'll spend your days ensuring the quality and reliability of our health technology solutions within an Agile development environment. You will be responsible for carrying out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures and delivering in a timely manner. Additionally, a System QA Analyst also participates in the test strategy and test plan definitions and is able to assess impact of changes to our proprietary system from a QA perspective. Finally, he is able to support and peer-review tasks of other QA resources.

What You'll Do

  • Work with functional leads, analysts, designers, and developers to clarify testing requirements.
  • Review documentation to identify key test scenarios and create both positive and negative test cases.
  • Develop detailed manual test cases, create regression test cases and keep the test plans up to date as new features are added or existing functionality changes.
  • Prioritize and execute tests, log defects promptly, and verify fixes.
  • Flag potential deadline or quality risks early and assess regression impact.
  • Contribute to test strategies, plans, and metrics to gauge release readiness.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) to sync testing with development.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote best practices.
  • Provide client support and training when needed.
  • Suggest process improvements, automation ideas, or cost saving measures to boost testing efficiency.

What You Bring

Required:

  • 4+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Proficiency in English language - excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Be able to put themselves in the shoes of our clients (understand what external customers require from a testing perspective)
  • Curious, disciplined, and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Clear and constructive communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Take ownership and accountability, i.e. Able to deliver as per stated and planned
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Assets:

  • Experience in pension plan administration or financial services industry
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and defect tracking
  • French: basic comprehension, able to greet and understand simple instructions.

What's In It for You

  • 100% remote work flexibility with optional office access (hybrid mode available)
  • Full TELUS Health benefits package including pension plan with employer contribution
  • Paid vacation and wellness days
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship opportunities

Salary Range: $55 000,00 - 75 000,00 CAD

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations.
