The Role: QA Technician I
As a QA Technician I, you will maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness across Switch facilities. This role exists to ensure customer-facing areas, operational spaces, and critical infrastructure environments remain clean, safe, and ready for daily use and site tours.
You will work closely with fellow technicians to maintain high standards across common areas, operational zones, and data center environments.
What You'll Do
  • Perform general janitorial duties including cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, and room organization.
  • Maintain cleanliness across common areas, shipping and receiving spaces, data floors, offices, and operational zones.
  • Dispose of cardboard, foam, pallets, and other waste materials appropriately.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning of areas such as mantraps, hallways, sectors, conference rooms, lounges, restrooms, and shipping areas.
  • Install, maintain, and replace sticky mats throughout the facility.
  • Perform routine perimeter walks to identify cleanliness or facility issues.
  • Clean plenum areas and other critical facility spaces.
  • Perform basic facility tasks such as changing lights, tightening handles, and adjusting door hinges.
  • Maintain supplies and communicate when replenishment is required.
  • Use basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when required.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism when interacting with staff and visitors.

  • Reliable transportation to the work site.

Preferred:
  • Experience working in data center, industrial, or facilities environments.
  • Experience operating basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
