Data protection officers (DPOs) are professionals responsible for ensuring that an organization complies with data protection laws and regulations, such as the GDPR in Europe. Their duties typically include advising on data protection obligations, monitoring internal compliance, conducting data protection impact assessments, and serving as a point of contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed.
