At Gen, we are scrappy and relentlessly customer driven. Youโ€™ll work with people who back each other, respect each other and understand that our differences are a competitive advantage.

If this sounds like you, weโ€™d love you to be part of Gen.

About The Role:

As a Manager on the Security Engineering team at Gen, you will lead the Data Integrity & Security Analytics function, managing a team of engineers responsible for core security services that improve trust in enterprise data, strengthen control visibility and support risk-based security decisions.

Working closely with Security, Infrastructure, Platform and Engineering teams, you will provide both people leadership and technical direction for capabilities spanning security analytics, data integrity and data protection services, including encryption and certificate lifecycle management. You'll be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable services while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and measurable security outcomes across the enterprise.

We're looking for a collaborative engineering leader who enjoys developing high-performing teams, improving engineering practices and leveraging AI responsibly to enhance analytics, automation and operational efficiency.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of security engineers, fostering a collaborative environment where team members can grow and succeed.

  • Own the delivery, operational maturity and continuous improvement of Data Integrity & Security Analytics capabilities.

  • Oversee services supporting security analytics, data integrity, encryption and certificate lifecycle management.

  • Define and improve metrics, dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into control health, operational performance, data quality and security risk.

  • Drive automation and engineering best practices to improve scalability, reliability, consistency and policy enforcement.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve analytics, reporting and team productivity.

  • Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Platform and Engineering teams to integrate security controls and analytics into enterprise platforms and workflows.

  • Establish documentation, operating procedures and support models that improve resilience, maintainability and accountability.

  • Support audit, compliance and regulatory requirements through strong service ownership and measurable control outcomes.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience leading and developing engineering teams within a complex enterprise environment.

  • Strong background in Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security, Platform Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Solid understanding of data integrity, security analytics and data protection concepts, including encryption, certificate lifecycle management, secure data handling and access control.

  • Experience building or operating analytics platforms, dashboards, reporting capabilities or metrics that support security operations and risk-based decision-making.

  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience collaborating effectively across multiple engineering and security teams.

  • Ability to balance people leadership with technical ownership and operational delivery.

  • Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve analysis, reporting, automation and engineering workflows.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with AI-enabled workflow automation or analytics tools.

  • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent.

  • Experience building enterprise-scale security analytics or data protection services.

  • Experience supporting audit, compliance or regulated environments.

What's Next:

The interview process consists of several stages.

You'll meet with the Hiring Manager and members of the Security Engineering team to discuss your leadership experience, technical expertise and approach to building and operating security services. You'll also have the opportunity to learn more about the team, our security strategy and how we support security at scale across Gen.
