Thew Associates PE-LS, PLLC is a land and hydrographic surveying and mapping firm headquartered in Canton, New York with branch offices in Marcy (Utica), Saranac Lake, and Syracuse, New York. Thew Associates has been providing professional surveying services since 1972. As a result of our commitment to quality and service, Thew Associates is among the most respected surveying firms practicing in New York State.

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Managers, at our Canton, Marcy, and Syracuse, New York locations, to manage and execute a variety of surveying and mapping projects to include topographic, utility, bathymetric, boundary, construction, hazardous waste site, and as-builts.

Thew Associates is continually expanding our service offerings and investing in new technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data collection.

Successful candidates must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently, have a working knowledge of surveying and mapping, and the ability to manage and execute assigned projects to include coordinating field work, performing survey calculations, preparing mapping, client communication, proposal preparation, and new business development.

The following education, experience, and skills are preferred:

  • Preferred A.A.S. in Surveying Technology or B.S. in Surveying Engineering
  • New York State Professional Land Surveyor license preferred
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a Land Surveyor/Project Manager
  • Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Must demonstrate versatility and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
