Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Depew, NY. If you are a strategic leader with extensive experience delivering large, complex projects from Engineering Design concept through the completion of construction, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will lead major engineering consulting projects across the private sector, including manufacturing, chemical, power, and data center facilities. You will oversee all phases of project delivery, from business development and proposal preparation through execution and closeout, while serving as the primary client contact and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments where project scope evolves and client needs drive success.
Responsibilities
  • Lead large, multidisciplinary engineering and consulting projects from initiation through project closeout.
  • Manage projects with evolving or undefined scopes while developing execution strategies that align with client objectives and project requirements.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocations.
  • Prepare project estimates, cost analyses, quotations, and competitive proposals.
  • Lead bidding activities, proposal development, contract reviews, and project negotiations.
  • Monitor project performance, including budget, schedule, scope, quality, and risk management.
  • Drive successful project execution by coordinating engineering, design, procurement, construction, and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee project documentation, reporting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial performance.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and identifying additional business opportunities.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal strategy, and pursuit planning.
  • Mentor project managers, engineers, and technical staff while promoting best practices in project management and execution.
  • Conduct project reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • 20+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale engineering, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience managing projects within the private sector, including industrial, manufacturing, chemical processing, power generation, and data center markets.
  • Proven background managing complex projects in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) or EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading projects with evolving or undefined scopes while maintaining strong client relationships and financial performance.
  • Strong experience with project estimating, quotations, bidding, proposal development, contract administration, and project scheduling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project execution, project monitoring, project controls, and project closeout processes.
  • Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and consulting teams.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and MS Project, along with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use project management, financial, business, and other software applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening requirements, including pre-employment testing.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and overall qualifications.
