Job Description Senior Software Engineer - Java / Data Engineering Location: Plano, TX - Onsite Contract Length: 12 Months **Contract to Hire** Type: Contract-to-Hire Rate: $65/hr W2 only. Cannot do C2C or 1099. **Must be USC or GC Holder** Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, data engineering, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native development.

This role will design, develop, and maintain scalable software and data-processing solutions supporting an enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines, developing Spring Boot microservices, designing RESTful APIs, and deploying applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong technical problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to understand and communicate complex architecture and design decisions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications supporting IAM-related business objectives. Build Java-based data ingestion and data-processing services. Develop scalable frameworks for complex data transformation, correlation, and enrichment.

Design and develop Spring Boot microservices. Build secure, scalable, and reliable RESTful APIs. Design and implement scalable database solutions.

Deploy and support applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Troubleshoot performance and technical issues across the application stack.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, technical discussions, and brainstorming sessions. Collaborate closely with team members, architects, and stakeholders to identify risks and develop effective solutions. Participate in software testing, test review, analysis, and certification activities.

Support application and operating system deployments as needed. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines and data-processing frameworks.

Strong experience with large-scale data transformation, correlation, and enrichment. 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Spring Boot microservices. Strong Java development experience.

Hands-on experience with RESTful API development, including security and scalability best practices. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with GitHub/GitLab, automated testing, and deployment practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
