Position Summary

Join Nestle IT & Digital, supporting Nestle USA, as a Data Product Expert accountable for managing and evolving our enterprise data lake as a product, enabling scalable, trusted, and AI-ready data services across the enterprise. This role balances technical depth with business fluency, partnering across functions, business teams, and the data organization within IT & Digital to translate priorities into reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and reusable data services. You'll ensure the data lake is aligned with enterprise data strategy and Nestle standards, and liaison with the zone to ensure alignment with the global organization.

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data lake products, including vision, roadmap, backlog prioritization, and value realization
  • Translate business and analytics requirements into scalable data platform capabilities and reusable data assets
  • Ensure seamless integration of structured and unstructured data across upstream and downstream systems
  • Drive adoption and optimization of cloud-based data platforms, including the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse) and Snowflake
  • Leverage APIs, storage optimization, and distributed compute to enable scalable and performant data pipelines
  • Embed data governance, metadata management, and quality standards, and liaison with the zone and global teams for alignment
  • Lead agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement through automation and monitoring

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data platforms, product ownership, or data engineering, including delivering enterprise-scale data products
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, specifically the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse) or Snowflake
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner managing backlogs, roadmaps, and stakeholder alignment in an agile delivery model
  • 3+ years of experience with data architecture, integrations, data warehousing, and full stack or back-end development

Other

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, or analytics is preferred
  • Experience applying FinOps practices to optimize cost, usage, and performance in cloud data platforms is preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines and enabling data for advanced analytics is preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
