Job Title: Senior Data Management Consultant (SQL Oracle/Snowflake)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract

 

Job Description

We are seeking a Consultant – Data Management with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle, Snowflake, SQL performance tuning, data quality, and financial data models. This is a pure relational database role and is not suitable for candidates whose recent experience is primarily focused on AWS Glue, Databricks, Hadoop, or PySpark-based data ingestion.

The ideal candidate will have experience optimizing SQL performance, analyzing complex data quality issues, working with Collibra, and partnering with business and technology teams to define functional requirements and implement enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, optimize, and tune SQL queries in Oracle and Snowflake environments.
  • Perform SQL performance analysis using Explain Plan and other optimization techniques.
  • Troubleshoot complex data and system issues through root cause analysis.
  • Identify and resolve data quality and data profiling issues.
  • Design and review relational database models, including normalization (2NF/3NF), denormalization, and dimensional modeling.
  • Understand and work with Financial Data Models, including Party and Party Relationship structures.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, use cases, and technical designs.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, testing, UAT, and release planning.
  • Manage requirement traceability, scope changes, and change control.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams on enterprise data initiatives.
  • Contribute to SDLC improvements and enterprise data management best practices.
