Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is seeking a Data Modeler with expertise in Snowflake. The role involves governance and oversight of analytics solutions, creating SQL queries, designing data visualizations, and assisting in data architecture design.
Responsibilities:
• Governance and oversight for the production deployment of regional analytics solutions.
• Review and optimize the submitted solution to maximize efficiency and ensure stability.
• Create and maintain SQL queries which are used to provide data extracts in support of business requirements.
• Design data visualizations using Tableau dashboards to facilitate business decisions. Create and maintain detailed specifications; data mapping & technical documentation for the projects.
• Assist in Data Architecture design, tools selections; data flows analysis. Coordinate all phases of a project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain data analytic solution library for reusable components.
• Write/analyze functional requirements based on obtained business requirements.
• Facilitate a user community of data analysts and data scientists to foster collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years working on data models: logical and physical
• 10 years working in a Data Warehouse environment
Preferred:
• Data modeling experience with ERWIN, ER Studio or similar tools
• Normalized / Denormalized / Star / Snowflake / Kimball / Inmon design concepts
• Deep SQL, data analysis
• Data architecture on big data technologies
• Experience in Snowflake
• Working in multiple roles in Data Warehouse: Analysis (desired), reporting (desired), DB2 (highly desired) or other MPP databases
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with Data Governance / Data Management covering topics such as Data Quality, Data Stewardship, Data Security, Metadata, Data Retention
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
