Job Title: Data Analyst I
Reports To: Director of Quality Improvement
Classification: Non-Exempt
Duration: 4 Months (Contract)
Duration: Auburn, CA
Work Type: Onsite
Pay: 34-36/hour
Position Summary
 
The Data Analyst I support quality improvement initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting healthcare data to enhance clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights through data reporting and trend analysis.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources, including EHR systems
  • Extract, manipulate, and present data through reports and dashboards
  • Create trend reports using Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced functions)
  • Support quality improvement initiatives including performance tracking (HEDIS, patient satisfaction, etc.)
  • Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inaccuracies
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for internal stakeholders
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and support cross-functional communication
  • Assist with basic data entry and project coordination as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with data
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare-related experience (health IT, quality improvement, or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, data manipulation, reporting)
  • Ability to present data clearly and effectively
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
