COMPANY OVERVIEW
IMG Citrus, a leading integrated Citrus grower and marketer, based in Vero Beach Florida, is looking for a Data Entry / Pallet Tag Clerk. Located in Indian River County, IMG Citrus operates as one of Florida's main distributors of fresh citrus. The company is vertically integrated --farming over 5000 acres in Florida, and operating a state of the art Packinghouse, and a 1,000 pallet refrigerated distribution center. Marketing and sales of Citrus domestically and globally is a core competency of the Company and is supported by an in-house sales/marketing team and Company own production of all Florida citrus varieties: grapefruit, oranges and tangerines. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a motivated and detailed individual to assist in our packinghouse operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with strong organizational skills, computer proficiency and prior warehouse distribution experience to join our growing team. This position will spend most of the day reviewing our daily shipment run sheets, confirming products for shipment, printing identification labels/tags and coordinating the staging and palletizing of products for shipment. Perform a variety of clerical duties including computer system operation, data entry and maintenance of files and records.
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review daily run sheets to understand product shipments for the day.
  • Responsible for identifying and tagging products for inventory and managing flow of product into storage.
  • Record product placement with scanner/wearable computer.
  • Print the appropriate identification labels and tags for confirmed shipments. Maintain the print and apply machine.
  • Notifies Stackers of which pallets are to be used for shipment.
  • Communicate change of products to Packers when orders are completed.
  • Request fruit and amount needed to fill orders on time.
  • Requires previous computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Keep palletizing areas organized and clear of trash and debris
  • Count and tag orders as packed.
  • Verify print and apply with each change.
  • Confirm Stackers are stacking order to specification.
  • Checks with Control Room Operator and Box Department Supervisor on progress if any changes need to be made.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory materials for palletizing.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts
  • Supply and inventory finger knives and tools used for palletizing
  • Update Food Safety Log.
  • Maintain PLI Stamp.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (bilingual is a plus).
  • Ability to prove dependability and attendance.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational during peak seasons.
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting. Also, frequently reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor.
  • Ability to work independently and perform repetitive motion/tasks.
  • Good vision and attention to detail.
  • Know and abide by all company policies, rules and regulations
  • Observe safety procedures - report potentially unsafe conditions
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels of associates
  • Must be flexible with hours of operations
  • Ability to multitask

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
40+ hours work week and required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed. Weekends and nights are required as needed.
