Job description

The Product Data Intern supports the accuracy, consistency, and organization of product information across company systems while gaining hands-on experience in data management, retail operations, and cross-functional collaboration. This internship provides exposure to product lifecycle processes, data governance practices, and business operations that support store teams and customer experience. Working alongside the Product Data team, the intern assists with maintaining product standards, researching product information, and supporting initiatives that improve product accuracy and usability across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in maintaining product data standards and governance practices across internal systems.
  • Support entry, validation, and maintenance of product information, including UPCs, descriptions, vendor details, pricing, and product attributes.
  • Review reports and help identify data inconsistencies, missing information, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date product information across systems.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities related to system updates and product data enhancements.
  • Support product audits and data cleanup initiatives to improve accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct product research using vendor resources, manufacturer data, and internal tools.
  • Assist in updating cross-reference tools, product equivalents, and battery solution references.
  • Support store inquiries related to product information and help investigate discrepancies or product-related requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Inventory, Marketing, and Store Operations.
  • Assist with updating product documentation, guides, and training materials as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas that support process improvements and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in data management, retail operations, merchandising, or analytics.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
