Welcome to Love's College Intern Program: The Love's college internship program is frequently referred to as the best in Oklahoma City. This rapidly growing program provides opportunities for students in multiple areas of the business to receive employee level experience, not just busy work. Students gain valuable knowledge that they can't get in a classroom; they are guided through proper etiquette of a professional corporate setting. Internship Activities: Over the course of the summer, Love's interns also participate in the following:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks/projects that address the needs of the Business Intelligence department and to facilitate learning opportunities. The intern will assist in the effort for building, validating, and reporting on dashboards, data trends, and other analytical deliverables that support Love's Family of Companies.
Job Functions:
  • Handle and be discreet with confidential business and financial information which would have an immediate impact on the company if shared beyond its intended audience and relevant company management
  • Assist with building, validating, and maintaining Tableau/Power BI/Sigma dashboards used by business stakeholders.
  • Support data validation processes, including reconciling dashboard outputs against source tables within established accuracy thresholds
  • Research, organize, and communicate data-driven insights from various sources related to sales, fuel, food service, and truck care trends
  • Assist with recurring reporting workflows and help identify opportunities for automation

Experience and Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field)
  • Past internship experience a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL/Snowflake, or Tableau (or similar BI tools)

Skills and Physical Demands:
  • Strong communication, listening, and critical thinking skills
  • Extremely well organized with attention to detail
  • Computer skills, including heavy use of Microsoft Office products
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
