Job description

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join us in a full-time capacity.

Location Requirement:

The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.

Role Overview:

Data Architecture involves transformation, continuous improvement, and documentation of Segra’s data ecosystem to modern, scalable, cloud-enabled architecture. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data strategies, modernizing data environments, and enabling advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence capabilities.

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience/combined education

 

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data warehousing
    • Data lakes and lakehouses
    • Data integration patterns
    • Data modeling methodologies
    • Master data management
    • Metadata management
    • Data governance frameworks
  • Experience with SQL and modern data engineering technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and enterprise data architectures supporting artificial intelligence initiatives.
  • Experience implementing DataOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • TOGAF, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or relevant architecture certifications.
  • Experience leading data architecture and enterprise transformation programs.
