Adult Education Secretary For Credit Diploma Program

Adult Education secretary for the Credit Diploma Program plans and organizes work according to the office standard procedure. Establishes priorities within work assignment. Provides information and assistance to students, parents and staff. Answers phone calls, keeps student records, and runs student reports in LACES (Literacy, Adult and Community Education System) Responsible for inputting schedules, progress reports, letters, report cards, weekly attendance data in LACES and assisting in data entry on registration and testing days.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to an applicant with an Adult Education office and experience with State of Connecticut procedures. This position requires strong technology skills and familiarity with Google Suites, Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out special projects and programs and to make judgment calls within assigned areas of responsibility. Bilingual preferred.

Work schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday 2:00 PM-8:30 PM
  • Friday 8:00 AM-2:30 PM
  • In addition, the position would shift to daytime hours (8:00 AM- 2:30 PM) for 10 days before the start of the program and 10 days after the end of the program.

Salary: Per 2024-2025 Salary Schedule
